QUESTION: You are given a lenght of copper wire with a small diameter. The only measuring instrument available to you is the metre ruler. Explain how you would measure the diameter of the wire with an acceptable degree of accuracy.
ANSWER: Firstly, twirl the copper wire around a pencil. Nexy, measure the lenght of the pencil. Then, count how many twirls it takes to make the lenght of the pencil and divide it to find out the diameter of the copper wire.
